Sunset on the Lake

So, you’ve arrived in Montauk… now what?  Make your way to The Crow’s Nest  Inn & Restaurant.  Sip on a Watermelon Cooler, lounge by the fire pits and enjoy the sunset over Lake Montauk.  There’s no better way to unwind and enjoy the peaceful oasis you’ve just ventured to.

For those of you relaxing at home, make your own version of the drink and plan your trip for next week.

Bikini season is here!  Try this quick fix to look and feel your best by simply staying hydrated.  We’ll be stopping by the farmers market all summer long to keep our ingredients stocked.  If you’re in the area, swing by  Montauk or Amagensett for local farm fresh sources, maybe we’ll see you there.

  • 2L water
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 1 lemon
  • 10+ mint leaves
  • (optional) 2 inch piece of ginger for some extra zest + digestive benefits
  • (optional) 5+ strawberries for some added flavor, and your water will turn pink!

Wash veggies. Slice cucumber & lemon, add mint leaves, peeled ginger & sliced strawberries if desired. Let steep in fridge for a minimum of 1 hr.  For best results leave overnight. Detoxing made easy, Enjoy!

Bon Voyage

It’s almost the weekend!  For those of you in the NYC area, consider a weekend getaway to Montauk.  We’ll give you the how to, but getting there is up to you!

Hop on the Hampton Jitney, there are multiple pick up points throughout Manhattan.  Hint: Ride in style on the Jitney Ambassador Class.  Less people, extra legroom, free snacks, why not? *Make a reservation to guarantee your spot.  Travel time: 2.5 hours- 3.5 hours (Depends on day and time.  If you’re leaving on Friday afternoon, opt for the train.)

From Penn Station, take the Montauk line.  Kick back and relax, it’s a three hour ride to the end of the tracks.  No stress about traffic jams, just bring a book and your headphones and you’re good to go.  There are 5 trips daily, check out the schedule here.

If you have your own set of wheels, take the LIE to Route 27 East.  Avoid rush hour, unless bumper to bumper traffic is your thing.  The back roads are tricky so don’t get too ambitious, there’s only one way in and one way out.
